Designer and Researcher / Synthetic Ecologies Lab at Serpentine Galleries

Yasaman Sheri is investigating the context of design in technological and ecological systems. Her research and practice examines creation of tools and platforms and the cultural narratives told in the process of dreaming such spaces.

She's founded a Design and R&D Studio dedicated to working with multiplicity of disciplines and is also Principal Investigator of Synthetic Ecologies Lab at Serpentine Galleries R&D Platform, launched with the mission to create tools and support the creative inquiry within Life Sciences, Synthetic Biology & Ecology. She is faculty at Copenhagen Institute for Interaction Design teaching biodesign and designing sensing, is a mentor at NEW Inc. and enjoys collaborative thinking in designing alternative interfaces.
